Amazon Prime launched for R59 per month in SA

Amazon Luna can be sideloaded onto Android TV, and supposedly works great. Beats free games on Android TV then if included in this exceptional annual deal from Amazon.

Will be looking deeper into their available groceries/essentials.

Stremio covers the movies series part though.

R399 = Super deal.

The don't sell dop man :( That is a bummer. Still, it's only R399 though......

If only they included Audible in this Prime offering, I’d sign up in a heartbeat

Also interested in what the Luna streaming will be like in SA. Apparently might use local servers in CT.
Would also think about accessing it via my Android boxes. Need to read up on that.

Anyone checked out the video offering yet? Just wondering if it has ads?

I do see Audibles offering 3 months free if you're a prime member. Wonder if that applies in SA. I've always just used my dads account since he's built up quite the collection.

The Luna side is a bit confusing as it's primary function, game streaming, isn't available here so it just throws you on to the claim games page but doesn't mention anything about the game streaming not being available in the region.

Claiming game codes is still a nice bonus but would like to see them open up local servers here at some point, although I don't think that's going to happen too soon as there are lots of other bigger markets that don't have it yet either.

Any good shows on Prime?
Content available in 4K?

Reacher, the boys, invinicible, stargate and yes 4k stuff

Reacher, Clarkson's Farm, Jack Ryan.

Fallout and Outer Range too.

And apparently for the ladies these are good, I definitely wouldn't know as I'm a manly man that doesn't watch girly stuff.....
Off Campus, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Maxton Hall, We Were Liars, Your/My/Our Fault

Would be nice if local Amazon could support eBucks...
But there is a workaround - buy 1Vouchers via FNB using eBucks and then buy Amazon vouchers using the 1Vouchers.
Don't see Amazon there:

They play trailers for shows on Prime but only before your video and you can instantly skip them, hasn’t been a bother at all. Not anything like YouTube.
