Amazon reveals Prime Day exclusive deal date for South Africa

Amazon will hold its first Prime Day shopping event in South Africa from 23 to 29 June 2026, giving local Prime members exclusive access to deals.

Amazon Prime launched in South Africa on 3 June, and the company confirmed that South Africa would be included in its flagship annual global shopping event reserved for Prime subscribers.

Noticed one or two pretty good Prime daily deals today. *
Like the Tapo C200 usually R500 now at R300. A price I have never seen this at in SA so it's a legit deal unlike those fake Takealot deals...

*(To view the daily prime deals: Select Daily deals at the top - then select Prime exclusives from the left hand selection menu - should be a tick box at the bottom)

For me, Prime Day is the time to get half price Kindles and Alexa devices. I can only imagine the schite they offer here.
I'm hoping that given Amazon is still working on gaining market share in SA they'll have some loss leaders to encourage uptake. Guess we'll see come end of the month.

Still very underwhelming for me, thought I would access first world goodies...

Just another South African ecommerce business with the name Amazon.
Are blue Lambo's not considered first world goodies? Don't come here and complain about not knowing how to fill out tenda documents properly.

You get the free games, have been collecting them for years. We just don't have the cloud part.
Yes, me too.
I'm already a Prime video subscriber. Seems it will work out cheaper now with official prime. R59 all inclusive vs R79 just for video.

EDIT: Subbed for prime and got automatically refunded the R79 for video
