Maybe? Will wait and see initial “hands on” reviews… that means I’d have to dump the Takealot R99 a month service
 
Even if you never order anything from them, if you already have and like Prime Video, its totally worth it just for the Amazon Prime video subscription for R33.25 a month if you do annual payment. no-brainer
I have found more often than not the same products at better price on Amazon and the times I did order there the delivery was free and much faster than Takelos's.
The fake discounts on Fakealot is just to much and it is no longer our default online retailer.
Overall Prime video has the best value preposition compared to other streaming services in SA and has not had a fee increase for over 4 years, unlike the rest.
Or am I missing something ?

Not missing anything. That is the exact reason we will be signing up. We mainly use them for when they have same day delivery.
 
I'm on the trial now and expect I'll be taking the annual sub (as well as short term US and UK subs later in the year).
 
Yep. It's too much of a good deal honestly to pass up.

R400 for a year of free deliveries on its own is worth it. I've been doing more purchases through Amazon already now that they actually have things on there that are worth buying.

The Prime Video and free game codes are just a bonus that I probably won't use much.

Already pay for Prime streaming and 90% of our online shopping is from Amazon anyway.
So to quote a famous idiot.
Its a no brainer
It will pay for itself within a month
It smokes Takealot
 
Hmm, I subscribed for the annual subscription one day after my subscription came off.

So not only do I not get the 30 day free trial, I have to pay R459 for the first year.
 
I don't understand why you wouldn't sign up for R34 p/m. I mean prime members get 30% off most essentials right now so you can easily save R500 right now by buying a couple months worth of cleaning supplies. Seems like a no brainer especially when you get prime video included.
