Anyone go from prime video to prime yet?

Same same just cheaper

Can I sign up for the trial and they will switch? Also what happens to the freeloaders on my account will they just keep going? Thats the main reason I still have the account.

My prime video is still exactly like it was. Same users and all.

I'll be paying the millisecond torrents stop working ...

for the moment I plan to spend as much on Amazon Prime as I've ever spent on Prime Energy drinks: sweet FA

Very cheap, paid for a year. Amazon has the best deals on nappies and some decent shows / movies so no brainer for me.

I will wait to see whether Amazon improves their range of groceries. Takealot More offers 3 free deliveries per month from PnP for R39pm which is more appealing to me at the moment.

As much as I buy online, I'm still debating the price/benefit/value proposition. Currently my stance in terms of consumerism is to figure out whether I buy enough to benefit, and whether buying with delivery is cheaper/easier (recently had to replace sheer... cats) than just going to a brick and mortar nearby over the weekend.

R399 for a year? What a bargain, just for the streaming alone! Previously I was paying over R100 pm iirc.

I just hope it’s here to stay, and not a marketing trick to get you to sign up and then like Disney+ it triples over the next three years without anyone really taking notice.

What happens to the freeloaders on my account if I switch? For now that is unclear. Anyone who can shed light thereon?

They do have a really good offer.
But at current I dont see much new on Prime video that I havent watched yet or will take me months to watch. Mostly "been there done that".
And I don't use Amazon either... prefer Takealot with their support of eBucks which is my source of funding for online shopping spoils.

Might have a look on Prime day and see if any savings are worth signing up for on the day. Hopefully one can sign up on that same day to take advantage of specials on the day right? Savings might even easily cover the monthly fee.
