One sure character requirement to be in the anc government is you must be able to lie and dodge the bullet whilst not implicating anyone else...........

Government bought tablets for R53 million and most are gathering dust in a warehouse

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has revealed that it is probing the Department of Military Veterans' procurement of 10,000 tablets for R53 million.

Speaking to 702, former director-general of the department, Irene Mpolweni, said the tablets were intended to upskill military veterans so they could participate in the digital economy.

Upskill them?

None of them will be younger than 50, you don't upskill at 50. If they haven't upskilled by this point they're not going to.

The amount of innovation required to become an entrepreneur is mind-blowing..

Take a R2000 tablet, slap on a R3000 markup, boom, you've made it

“We managed to train 3,000 military veterans who got their tablets. It was a five-day training, and they got a certificate.”

Sounds like a grueling course.
How did they cope.

Look 5 days is not going to get you anywhere.
Waste of time.
Stop stealing and procure proper equipment for children.

What are they veterans of?

They also get more than double the normal State pension:

In my area, there is a block of houses, given to them to stay in for free. And the power cables around there houses get stolen regularly. Was thinking they can arrange their own patrol. All ex anC freedom fighters . Maybe they can monitor cctv cameras on this tablets. They will also demand free wifi.
