Been to many. Best one ever was somewhere in the mid 90s at Waterkloof air force base. It was the air force's 75th anniversary. Just about every plane worth seeing was there. The US , the Russians and the Brits brought all their stuff. An F15 shaking the ground with full afterburner vertical climbs and the red arrows are things I remember.

I semi remember an SR71 being on display as well, but that could be a hallucination.

And a Sukhoi (SU27 IIRC) doing a cobra maneuver

A very notable one was 2002 IIRC? The B-1B year.

Badly sunburned and hoarse from cheering at the sky. :)
 
I've been to the Hoedspruit airshow once, I should go again another time
They sometimes host it here in Phalaborwa if I recall, but not as often

Always went to see the Silwer Valke (Silwer Arende?) at the Worcester show.
 
Saw an English Electric Lightning go down at Overberg airshow in 2009. Went to Oshkosh a few years ago and stayed in the Saffa camp for the whole week. Biggest airshow in the world with around 10 000 aircraft flying in. Insane.

Wanted to go to RIAT next month, but it's cancelled due to the Middle East conflict. Wtf?
 
It's just a matter of time before there's another RAMSTEIN airshow incident.... 😔

Where I live, I often see airshows and the planes also doing their excercises right from my house.
 
Yes, many. From local airshows to "Redbull Air Race", when they decide to come back. Never missed an Air Race taking place here, good to watch.
Any holy trinity races, if we can make it, we'll be there
 
Only ever as an kid, but also during that time I was taken to a place where my one uncle worked. Saw some interesting things.
