iOS 27 and MacOS Golden Gate announced

Apple announced the latest versions of its Mac and iPhone operating systems at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), alongside the next generation of Apple Intelligence features.

Dubbed iOS 27 and MacOS 27 Golden Gate, the operating systems will benefit from the new suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features.

Craig Federighi, said the company’s vision for AI focused heavily on privacy and personal context.

“Truly helpful AI must be centred on our users’ needs, deeply integrated into the products they rely on every day, grounded in personal context, and built with privacy at every step,” he said.

Siri is long overdue for improvement. Though it still felt like a presentation of ‘meh.’ Was hoping for more than Siri catching up to 2024

Public polls, social media sentiments, and tech industry evaluations consistently highlight widespread frustration with Siri, frequently ranking it behind competitors like Google Assistant and ChatGPT. Users overwhelmingly agree that while it is adequate for basic tasks, it struggles with complex conversational queries and web knowledge

But you need to see these headlines ... strange to see talking about a system 'leagues ahead of everything'

Opinions, hey? Pfft.
I'm just saying that majority think it's in dire need of an update and really lags behind. So, it an opinion - but it's pretty overwhelming and the general consensus.
