Not to pee on any parades, but the population growth per year for SA is about 1.3% so to just not get any worse we would need to grow at around 0.3% per quarter. The net growth for the first 3 months was basically 0.2% which I suspect is well within the margin of error of these kind of things..

Pretty much, anything less than 2% sustained year on year growth has us treading water at best.

We need 4-6% for a period of years to dig ourselves out of this mess.

Short terms and long-term pain, we need to stop trying to make short period isolated gains something to celebrate, the economy is worse off now than it was a year ago for the average worker, and that trend has remained consistent.
