How do we get rid of these annoying MTN popups? Happening on every single number with Airmobile.

Sim toolkit doesn't work, even after disabling as many of the settings as I can. Afrihost support is useless: " This does not happen on our network, we cannot help / escalate unless you prove to us it is happening"

Not sure I follow about moving to their MVNO... All numbers are already AirMobile sim cards, two new sim cards, one number ported from Vodacom. Never been with MTN

DONT USE AFRIHOST MOBILE DATA, their data package does not roll over un-used data, and the available credit that you had (with the air mobile) (that is used to topup) will be removed and applied to the fibre line. what a useless organisation afrihost. This is now month 3 ( 3 logged calls | 3 whatup support messages | 2 physical phone calls, and still i have the same problem, they are useless )that im trying to update and top up my sim card. FFS, how difficult can this be. @ afrihost your support is utterly useless.

and not even talking about these annoying popups. who allowed this. ? damm MTN . im looking for another ISP that provide mobile data. that know how to support their product

logged a call with Afrihost now. lets see if they even know how to sort this out.

I suspect that MTN is using ALL numbers on their network for spam and marketing, regardless of who the MVNO is... bloody scum

So, it appears that everyone who is having issues, need to phone your MVNO, so that they can escalate to MTN to stop sending you marketing popups. You're on your own. I did ask why they don't take initiative and request it for all numbers on their network, but got informed it doesn't work that way.

As double insurance to attempt to stop this I have also disabled sim toolkit completely. There's no reason for it to be running since i don't have need for the services it provides

I'm also getting these on my Afrihost Airmobile data sim. Voice eSim is FNB, so I doubt that is originating point. Must be Airmobile.

From what I know both are on the MTN network, so very well might be either of them.
Let's see though if this works. I probably should have waited to disable the toolkit, I won't know which change worked (if it does)
