Nice!

Was always good to see Glen Warden in the mirage III.

I remember at Swartkop one year when he departed he did a full burner unrestricted climb to 30000 and stayed on comms throughout. He was up there in no time, leveled off and then said he'd be on the apron in Hoedspruit in 15 mins time.

RIP, sir.
Where was that pic taken? That's definitely not a military tarmac with those stains, looks like the Denel side of OT airport  I remember the ground crew stripping their moer when the Russian SU-27 was leaking oil on the apron in 95.

The 95 show was incredible, but growing up we lived pretty much next to the small Springs airfield. That had yearly shows with various smaller plains, so I'd usually just climb on the roof to watch for free.

One time when I was 8-10 or so they also did helicopter rides for the public and for only R20 I got probably a 15 minute flight around the area.

Air and Sea Show at Ft Lauderdale in 2002 ... just after 9-11 so US military were displaying anything and everything they had. One of the biggest ever. Since it was near a beach everything is flown parallel close to the beach so a much closer view than land-based airshows.

I've been to the one at Waterkloof once. I live so close to Waterkloof that I see most of the aircraft anyway.

England mid 2000's

I watched the SAS jump out of chinook and paradrop into the ocean.

France and Perth after that - can't recall the years.

We're in the flight path whenever what's left of our air force does the Union Buildings.
