Which is the most hair-raising South African mountain pass you've driven?

Additionally, which is the most scenic?

Sani pass. Although when done in winter is next level.
Ongelukshoek pass about 10 years ago - my underwear is still not clean.
Uitspankraal Pass in the Cederberg.

All 3 fit both criteria for different reasons.

The old road to Sun City, over the Magaliesberg, some crazy bends... and drivers. Also quite scenic

Best for the view though has to be the pass in the Valley of a 1000 Hills area in KZN, whatever that's called.

Bainskloof- most hair raising among the common tarred passes.

Most scenic- old Bloukrans pass next to the N2. Eastern Transvaal also have some scenic passes.

Dasklip pass near Porterville.
Blind corners and basically a lane and half width of road.

Would love to drive it one day with a car with decent power...

Did Bainskloof and ended up with a hat full of puke from my kid....

The worst was the road up to Sentinel in the Drakensburg, was the most terrifying road to drive in a small car and we couldn't turn around.

Another 'hair raising pass' I did on my BMW GSA was the so called 'East entrance' to Baviaalskloof from Steytlerville. I could not find it on Google maps - used Tracks 4 Africa then. Description here: https://www.4x4community.co.za/foru...1-55SZPbJGV7YCxqJ0HOe8xr3obepugiVRPQNpNG2MRS4

Baviaanskloof is probably the most scenic for me. 200km of mountain pass with 37 (?) River crossings. Never dropped my bike despite the terrain, and all done with my wife on her BMW GS. She only needed help once with a deep river crossing at Smitskraal. Did Baviaans 5 times on bikes.
