People generally think that rich people don't do anything for the poor but that is not the case. The simple fact is you can turn the world's wealth completely around and in a year you would be left with the same status quo as now. Money can't solve our problems and we need to change the systems that are currently oppressing people. The best thing rich people can actually do is to hold on and guard their wealth.

I think people imagine that he is a Scrooge McDuck type person with a vault full of money.

If Elon tried to access his money it would vaporise. His wealth exists as promises.

And I agree, the really wealthy hides. Why would you want people to know you have that much money.
