A woman fell to her death after staff allegedly forgot to attach a safety cord before she bungee jumped from a bridge in Brazil

Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas was thrown from the Ponte do Esqueleto, known as Skeleton Bridge, in the municipality of Limeira, São Paulo, while participating in a bungee jump on Saturday, June 13, according to the Brazilian outlets G1 and Folha de Pernambuco.

A video posted on social media showed the moment that de Freitas, 21, was carried by staff members toward the edge of the bridge and thrown over while wearing a helmet, per the outlets.

No ****ing way.

Can no one see there is absolutely nothing attached to that person ?

How the F did that happen ? Did the jumper not even say anything ?

when I bungee jumped there was superfluous and excessive safety checks upon safety checks, wtaf is this shite?!?

not to mention nobody got hoisted on high and chucked off the bridge superman style, they were very particular about it being your own action that initiates the actual jump

with some luck they at least didn't shout after the victim to let her know what is coming ...

yeah its really odd . i mean the strap on process must take a good few minutes . how could they miss it ?
I thought that the cord was not attached to the harness but there is no harness attached... so they just chucked her... and she didn't even freak out when they picked her up.

So yes, I can't see how its not deliberate.
Something is out here, they strap you up well before you get to the launch point and they are are very careful with the bungee rope because it obviously can't get tangled with anything while you fall, normally there's a guy who manages the rope while someone else guides the jumper at the jump point. The bungee rope is also quite unwieldy so there's no ways an experienced bungee operator would miss that it’s not attached. Also when they attach the bungee rope to the harness they always do final checks just before the jumper steps up to the launch point.

Good gods! It will be interesting to find out the explanation. Some of them had to be chased down they'd run away. I know it's sad but it is funny how they just chuck her over.

Good points. Plus, even if they do hoist somebody that high and chuck them as normal procedure, the cord would take out some of the chuckers. I call AI bullshit.

This must be some AI bs meme, the two guys that throw her walk out on a narrow ledge and they don't even appear to be tied to anything, that would be outrageously dangerous because carrying someone like that is very precarious.
There's just to much here that doesn't make sense, unless everyone was high as a kite on something.

Some news sites say it was a rope swing not a bungee jump but even so the jumper is still strapped in and it’s very important that the rope unfurls smoothly and fully, there's always one member taking care of the rope as the person jumps.

Link below and in one of the pics you can actually see some kind of rope going to the guys throwing the lady so it seems they were at least tied on but no one managing the rope is bizarre.

Not to mention the peep filming this and not even a hint of a reaction.
