One thing that I remember sticking out for me about the Arkham series was how despite everything being dark and the game happening at night, it never felt so dark that you couldn't see wtf is going on. They did a great job visually.

I meant later, but yes. But also for some reason I don't really count it as part of the series, even though it is, and as you said from a different studio. It's always Asylum, City, Knight for me. That's it.
Yeah Origins is my least favourite but it's still a good game. Just feels a bit rushed compared to the others (from what I remember because I'm not there yet) with boring side stuff and unresponsive controls sometimes.
Is it fully open world? Know nothing about the game but it does look great.
I've played a little. Doesn't seem so. It's very much like Dark Messiah in terms of gameplay and level design. Seems like that was their goal.
Well the environments look incredible. Would have been a stunning open world.
