Lol... So you mince about asking random people outside builders if they have valid permits.....?I only hope that Government keeps the pressure and deport illegals actively after 30th June. Also, why can't they target illegals outside builders warehouse etc ? None of these are seffricans or carry any valid permits last time I asked.
Just think about it a bit. I know it is hard.Lol... So you mince about asking random people outside builders if they have valid permits.....?
Our ward councilor accompanied by SAPS has asked, and big surprise, most of them are illegal foreigners. Our ward has been strongly encouraged to not employ these people.Lol... So you mince about asking random people outside builders if they have valid permits.....?
Illegal foreigners will always be scapegoats for any of the local issues. That is how it works in every country. Having said that, Government seems a bit serious about this now. I would like to think Mr. Schreiber is behind this initiative.I have to laugh at the anti-immigrant stuff I am seeing on social media.
They show pics and footage of rundown parts of Joburg and imply that the foreigners are behind the decay and removing them will put the city - and the country as a whole - on the path to recovery.
As if the locals are not the ones who started fvcking the inner city up (and in the country) in the first place and are the ones who have been keeping the ANC in power, worsening the situation through failure to uphold law and order and not maintaining things.
Imbeciles running around with machetes, acting as if they are not a part of the problem.
ANC voters love a scapegoat. They simply don't believe in any accountability. As if the locals are not the ones who started fvcking the inner city up (and in the country) in the first place and are the ones who have been keeping the ANC in power, worsening the situation through failure to upheld law and order and maintain things.
I can understand an individual employing someone you find at Builders to do your tiles or garden, you did not go out looking for an illegal foreigner, you got a guy who turned out to be an illegal foreigner, it could have been a South African. Our ward councilor accompanied by SAPS has asked, and big surprise, most of them are illegal foreigners. Our ward has been strongly encouraged to not employ these people.

Illegals are definitely an issue and significant number of them are outside builders. How do you think illegals get jobs ? This is one of the ways. There is a reason why most don't want to draw attention to themselves because they know they are illegals and want to fly under the radar. They can earn honest living by applying for permits or applying for asylum.Illegals immigrants aren’t the issue. People that are here illegally generally try to keep as low a profile as possible so as not to draw unwanted attention to themselves. What issue is getting rid of labourers outside builders going to solve? At least they’re trying to make an honest living instead of demanding things being given to them.
Agree but Government seems to have woken up now. Better late than never.Reacting to a problem that could have and should have been prevented two decades ago and a problem that is entirely their own doing.
Government created the conditions for illegal immigration to get out of hand - failure to secure our borders, rampant corruption within Home Affairs, allowing our cities to collapse, crippling the economy and doing nothing to address runaway unemployment.
The zama zamas going on shooting sprees, again, government failure is the root of this. Send the SANDF in and blow the fvckers away.
Xenophobia isn't new. It really started to show its face in 2008 and since then every few years it pops up.
Went to Kruger for the long weekend, you should of seen the amount of mini busses and stacked trailers heading to the border - insane dude !!Anyone know what is happening at the Malawi embassy in Rivonia/Sunninghill? I drove past it twice and its full of about 30 busses and tons of police and hundreds of people hanging around...
I suppose it has to do with 30 June deadline ?Anyone know what is happening at the Malawi embassy in Rivonia/Sunninghill? I drove past it twice and its full of about 30 busses and tons of police and hundreds of people hanging around...
Saving this for when you get approached for your documentation by an machete wielding maniac.I only hope that Government keeps the pressure and deports illegals actively after 30th June.
