Don't often eat French toast, but when I do, it's usually crispy bacon and syrup.

growing up we always had french toast with either HP sauce (Brown sauce) or tomato sauce, now that I know that was only because my mom and dad were skint all the time, I prefer it with Bacon and syrup

A thin layer of specifically thick All Gold tomato sauce.

Only ever have fresh toast with either that or syrup/honey. Or with no topping at all.

Firstly you don't just make french toast you make Banana bread french toast. Then you top it with Crème Fraîche, Bacon and Syrup.

Edit: The only syrup that I eat is Lyle's Golden Syrup which is about 8 trillion times better than the Illovo rubbish (in my opinion of course).

Had this little coffee shop across the road from my old flat. They had something they called The Grand Mosseuax (?). It was a tripple decker French toast contraption with mayo, cheese, ham, sauteed sliced mushrooms, bacon and an egg. It was costly but heavenly.
