It's such a crap rewards programme, honestly, it's not worth the effort to scan your loyalty card. The vouchers are so random.

The Woolies app is also terrible. I don't understand how a company with so much money can get it so wrong.

If you use GMail, just flag the emails as spam. Eventually they will just end up in your spam folder where they belong.

I had to do this with Pick-n-Pay who kept emailing me no matter how many times I clicked Unsubscribe or chose Opt-Out of all. I even contacted their support email to ask they remove me, who then asked for way too much personal information to "verify me".

Most rewards programs are just crap these days.

I use the few that I have when the benefit to me is worth the company getting some data on me out of it.
Spar Rewards as an example when the discounts are decent enough, but often I just say "Nope, don't have" so there is no way they can building a product profile on me.

Look at these hoops that have to be jumped, they are forcing you to shop at woolies and get emails from them... How dare they

Only visit Woolies for a few quality snacks, not sure what the fuss is as prices are horrible. Snob values?

Anyway, aren't we supposed to be boycotting them?

Woolies vouchers seem geared towards getting you to buy products that you have absolutely no interest in and would never buy. Which I guess is the point of them, but it does nothing for me.

I don't think I have ever registered any of the store rewards cards. They work just fine

Hmm. I thought part of the law was that there must always be an opt out option 🤔
