Solar generation in rain/cloudy conditions

And we are heading into the longest night and shortest day (21st if I remember well). Mixed with these clouds is a recipe for the worst generation possible.
Yup :-( hopefully the clouds don't stick around, but "weather" services are saying it's going to be cloudy on Sunday.
Incoming water from the taps are cold as well, to the point that it takes ages for it to circulate and heat up for the geyser.

And of course, the wife decides hey, lets use hot water, heat pumps running, lets use hot water... As it's about to reach temp, hot water used, shower used, dishes washed (no matter how many times I tell them this uses a frak ton of hot water), every bloody time the thing is just about to reach temp, it gets used.
It's like can you let the bloody thing finish first, you're making it work harder, as every time it's trying to circulate water, you're just putting more and more cold in, that it's actually struggling. Let it finish and settle, that way even washing dishes won't make it keep kicking in, as it's settled

10 hours, 31 minutes sunshine window in the greater Johazardsburg region right now - as compared with the roughly 13 hours, 46 minutes on Dec 21.

Plus, full cloud cover again of course. 😒

Yup thick, no rain clouds, like wtaf. I mean it would be fine if they actually did something

Partly Sunny apparently... 900w max generation, even yesterday I was at 2 by now

Battery hasn't even had a chance to charge today yet. Looks like I'll be using grid again to top up.

Yeah if it was raining or snowing I wouldn't even mind so much. 640W peak for me so far today at 09:46.
Yup, if the clouds actually did something besides just sit there, sure. I've peaked at 1.2 when by now I should be close to 6

So here is something interesting, I only have the temp set to 50 degrees to warm up the water in the geyser, it stopped at 09:40 after all the hot water using. It's now 13:43 and it's at 49 degrees, yesterday when it stopped at 55 degrees at 10am, it ran again at this time from 52 degrees, today's ambient temp is colder than yesterday.
So in roughly the same timespan, 3 degrees was lost vs 1?

Going to be a rough evening. Was down to 10% this morning and it is now only up to 39%, only picking up 1852W.

That's alot. How much solar do you have?

I'm at 6,2kwh for the day, have already charged the battery a bit from the grid and reheated the geyser.
I charged up with the grid, pulled 6 from it and 10 from solar, worst day, even yesterday wasn't so bad ending at 14.
