These companies had a golden age of f**ing people over a barrel and got used to a presumed never ending cycle of annual overpriced facelifts and dodgy business practices. They also started seeing those badges as luxury purchases and way overestimated the average person's brand loyalty.

Not to mention, they were happy playing along with insane government mandated restrictions on safety and efficiency that ended turning the average middle class vehicle into a irreparable and disposable piece of over complicated s**t to be discarded at the first sign of trouble, pretty much eradicating the reason for those efficiency gains in the first place.

They can all get f**ed.

I couldn't agree more - they put up their prices every year way above inflation and now that it's finally catching up, they expect sympathy and loyalty? I know the Chinese motor vehicle industry is not great for many and varied reasons but, I can't feel sorry for an industry that's been treating their buyers like rubbish!

Yip, looking at the price of the new Hilux and Ranger, those prices are ridiculous. And it has been going up constantly for a long time. Same with VW. The chinese will be eating their whole lunch soon.
