Areas that have been destabilised by war or civil unrest are great for doing exploration undisturbed. No point in mining high value commodities during wars. It just gets taken from you. Having your claims staked, paperwork submitted, and bribes paid by the time the dust settles helps a lot though.
We don't destabilise. We don't steal. We don't arm rebel groups. We identify areas with potential at times when other people don't want to be there, and capitalise when there's peace. I think you want to have a look at how the Eastern DRC and Northern Ivory Coast are destabilised. Go chat to the likes of Barrick (Rand), Anglo, Glencore, etc. The Chinese, Aussies and Indians also moving in in a big way. Very few Russian companies. Not sure why.
