Police's R600-million plan to stop national shutdown turning into July 2021-style riot

The South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Justice, Crime Prevention, and Security (JCPS) Cluster will monitor social media and consider using drones to monitor threats on 30 June 2026.

Anti-immigrant group March and March plans to bring the country to a standstill in a national shutdown protest calling for the immediate and mass deportation of illegal immigrants living in South Africa.

Best way to get rid of Ramaphosa.

In other countries the fuel price doesnt fluctuate like ours, and when government pushes up fuel prices by upto 50c they riot.

South Africans are more like lemmings willing to fall off the cliff.

Is this the same group that could barely get about 30 people to come to their marches in Cape Town?

They can buy 5ltr cooking oil at an amazing price of R12 000 per bottle.

Will there be any Uber Eats or Checkers 6060 drivers left after the 30th?

TBH, that is blaming the wrong thing.
Are there illegal immigrants? Sure, but there are a lot of legal ones too.
Are some illegal immigrants criminals? Sure. But a lot aren't. And some locals are criminals too.

The underlying problem is in the government and government services. Lack of ethics, incompetence, corruption, ignorance, lack of funds, lack of motivation, lack of education, lack of jobs (and labor laws making it difficult to give someone a chance), etc.

Its easier to blame the forriners than to fix the other stuff.

Unlimited savagery for the brothers who speak a different language. None for the walking turds who steal the money meant for border control.

Just want to correct you here. Every single illegal immigrant is a criminal by definition. It is a criminal offence to enter and/or remain in South Africa in violation of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.

I would like to see the budget breakdown for the R600 mil. How much on deck chairs? How much on branded cooler boxes and umbrellas? How much on ice, drinks and snacks? Are they they flying MamaJoy back for this one?
