Shooting down a drone in South Africa could land you in jail

South Africans who attempt to disable drones or other unmanned aerial aircraft can face fines of up to R50,000 or imprisonment of up to 10 years, or both.

Private individuals are not allowed to disable drones under any circumstances, according to Cor van Deventer, director at law firm Van Deventer Dowlath and Marx Incorporated.

So the law is once again on the criminals side?

If I have my daughter and grandkids over and they swimming in the pool at my place and there is a drone buzzing overhead it'll come down.

I somehow doubt the CAA or the SAPS would waste the time on someone bringing down your ******** neighbours DJI drone over your property when he's scoping out your missus tanning by the pool.

Or pics?

Seems I have more ******** neighbours than I even realised... eish.

I heard that if you Google "messing around with my stepsister at the pool" with Google Safe Search off, you will find plenty.
Well I can either test your theory or just take your word for it. You didn't sound all that convincing so I'll just go have a quick double-check.

Sweet lemme know what you find.

Apparently learning from Ukraine A shotgun is highly effective and increasingly ideal for taking down low-flying First-Person View (FPV) and quadcopter drones, with no ballistic evidence because of bird or buck shot and a smooth barrel.

well so i heard
