Afriforum approaches courts to review Eskom's R54.7 billion settlement

Civil action organisation AfriForum has again approached the courts to review Eskom's R54.7 billion settlement with the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA).

NERSA approved an additional R54.7 billion in revenue for Eskom in February 2026, and AfriForum manager for local government affairs, Morné Mostert, said it can't explain the reasons for its approval.
