Its still been mostly calm here in eSchitweni as well, but we've seen how quickly that changes unfortunately. It just needs one flashpoint event and it spirals out of control.

Communities ended up setting up their own barriers and defending them - which the SAPS took more issue with than the actual rioters.

I remember a Metro police vehicle showing up at the barricade near my place and the defenders being told to dismantle it, the instruction was followed by the sound of the multiple firearms being cocked and the metro officer being told to move along which he duly did post haste.

For sure. I'm glad we're doing WFH on Tuesday. Just in case. It's not worth the risk that something does happen, even if it seems minor.
