I have a question and hopefully I get a proper answer. The politicians know the kind of environment this place is but elected to install high value equipment without proper security?

If this break-in happened in the winelands, I wouldn't blame the government much because the stats indicate it's a relatively safe place.
 
Driving along that road at 40Km/h at night and hitting a black pole in the middle of the road, is a bit more than an "inconvenience"
Who cares about reality? The muni is delighted to announce the have fixed their own fsk-up...people must get joyous with this efficiency already

It's a challenge faced in most informal settlements or villages, access to electricity was made a priority after democracy, and rightfully so, so most of those areas got electricity first before other municipal services, later when municipal services rolls in you run into such challenges.

Eskom should have done the right thing and relocated those poles during the road project, but they took their time.
