Honestly, keep it, there will be days you need a generator, even with solar. I've had solar since 2022, had to get a generator end of 2023 as there was an extended outage and it was cloudy.

i agree with the others - keep it , unless you really need that 3k .

Agreed about keeping it - the storm last month knocked our street off grid for 12 days and without the gennie on rainy days we'd a been miserable.

JUST don't try and charge your batteries with the generator. My sparky was adamant the output was too dirty (variable voltage, frequency and harmonic distortions) to feed into your inverter.

I have a Trade Air (I think) gennie and it's output is MUCH cleaner than our municipal feed in Pretoria
