Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027

For Visa Companion, I used to be registered with my global card, when I tried to login again I found they had done some sort of reset, but now I can't find my global card number.

FNB app doesn't show the card number, only the last four digits. Is there any way to get the card if the physical card is misplaced?

might need to order a new one.

Finally got time to check out all the changes. Smart Spend decrease is a bit of a deal breaker. I was plannning to cancel my Woolies credit card, but now wondering if I should rather be ditching FNB altogether ? Anybody else considering this?

Was just analysing our (partner and myself excl kids) monthly bank fees across the world

In SA, we paying about 2K a month in bank fees across, FNB, Investec, Woolies. This is the monthly fee + any extras they charge for like for ewallet, secondary holder, etc. Making 3K minimum back in ebucks meant technically banking was free. Now I am thinking perhaps just go to Capitec/tymebank for day to day banking - ignore the rewards stuff and just live life and save massively in bank fees. For the cost of just my banking fee (FNB PC), I could cover all 'extra' capitec/tymebank will charge.

I will need to keep FNB for the Homeloan but for that downgrade to the lowest banking product they have.

Just like I avoided a lot of mental health pain by ignoring Discovery, I think the similar will apply by thinking of banking as banking and nothing else. I can at least go shop at Checkers again!!

Smart spend lower limits are unfortunate {it is also a higher spend needed to achieve so double whammy} - but the benefits if you can maintain level 5 on the higher accounts still outweigh account fees for FNB + Investec + Woolies ++++etc - if playing it right you should be getting more in ebucks or discounts back (smart spend + monthly ebucks + "free device" over 24months + + + ) - the biggest draw is still the 40% off {capped} at partner stores.

Yeah, I feel it could be touch and go now at least for our use case. Travel still a consideration, and partner spend. The other stuff like 'free devices' not something I am interested. I never played the game with Discovery either and that was foolish on my part with a vitality streak now in the high 300's!!

Have to spend time to do some calcs. Definitely consolidation on the number of bank accounts we have as a family needs to be streamlined.

does anyone know when we can buy the device options ? the R24000 one using the budget facility on the credit card.
can we do it know or must we wait for the point and level allocation first after it gets allocated after the 10th or whatever date these guys plan to update

You can do it at any time, it's not a new perk or change.

Late I know, but if anyone can still use a R50 Kauai voucher before tomorrow, PM me.
Where did the voucher trading thread go?

Have a look on ebucks website in the terms and conditions under earn. Some details there. The device itself is bought using the FNB app - from "partner" shops and you have to opt in for the budget installment during the checkout process. based on amount you listed assume PW - so earn clause 11. Device offer.

What do we need to do now?
I setup scheduled payments of R350 from my PC fusion account to both the FNBy cheque and to the FNBy savings and it went through today. I will cancel the NFBy chque one since the direct to FNBy savings also worked.

FNBy cheque free... 500 points for a active youth account, OR 1000 points for growing youth savings account. - if there is a fee/reversal/withdraw on the savings account the account wont "grow" by the required amount and 0 points awarded with no cheque.
