South African satellite Internet and communication company launched

Deputy President Paul Mashatile has announced the launch of BrainSAT Satellite Services, a South African satellite Internet and communication provider, on Tuesday in Johannesburg.

The company is the local operational arm of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) satellite communications firm Space42, which provides a range of services, including broadband Internet.

This included sectors such as energy, mining, maritime and humanitarian operations. Mashatile said that satellite connectivity is essential for maintaining operational continuity.
