So when I try opening the DSTV on my Xiaomi Mi box S, I get a prompt saying the app is not Google certified. Was working fine last week, anyone experience this all of a sudden?

Check for any updates on the app, ensure you're using DSTV Stream or something like that.

Check to see if the play store is certified under settings and if not try a factory reset. Else just recycle it and get an Apple TV. Less issues with it.

More than a year later...

Strange issue though.

What Android TV version is your box on?

Usually with any app issues on Android TV etc, clear cache, and or uninstall app and reinstall.

Done that yet?

If possible update the box, although Android TV 9 might be as far as it goes for that box?

Do any other international streaming services like Netflix install and open and can be updated? Not talking about being subscribed to it.

You have a legit international version of the Xiaomi box and not a Chinese region one?

Other non certified Google Android boxes have apps like Netflix, and as soon as you update Netflix, it's not working as those apps were tweaked or mobile versions.

Etc.
