Russia is a bit of a curious one because of the ethnic minorities.

A lot of the minorities live in Republics within Russia where they embrace their own languages and cultures, with many being fiercely nationalistic. Chechens and Tatars do not consider themselves Russian. The Chechens effectively fought two brutal wars of independence and the Tatars' history with Russia (Moscow) is equally brutal and on ethnic lines.

The fervent nationalism among many of the minorities is the reason why Russia (Moscow) has for centuries (it continues under Putin) tried to stamp out the national identities of minority groups through forced internal displacement, settlement and colonisation by ethnic Russians and the enforcement of Russian as the primary language of instruction in the Republics.

Or a taxi full of them threatening an old lady because she accidentalt went over the line of her lane causing the taxi to brake a bit. Of course this was an opportunity for everyone onboard to hang out the windows and tell the white witch to go back to Europe. So it does not just happen on social media.

Most South Africans are indifferent or don't care at all. Just because a taxi full of people calling for a white lady to go back to Europe isn't representative of South Africa's sentiment.

I was called k...r by a group that included children in a bakkie years ago. Did that reflect sentiment shared by all white people? Absolutely not.

In my clubbing days, every single time I met a black person, they would always treat me like a white power nazi fascist kkk racist and everytime I would settle their nerves after a few drinks and in the end they would be convinced I'm (white people) actually a nice person.

Haven't met a non white yet that would talk to me like a fellow human in the voting lines though, but that's only because there is no alcohol.

Obviously not, but I've lived in 4 different cities and visited other places throughout my life. I interact or relate to people well when I decide to mingle.

If you approach them the way you interact with non-white people on these boards, then I don't fault them to be frank.

Of course you find everything outside your bubble hard to believe. I don't approach anybody, I just try speak to the person standing right next to me. And yes, its every single bloody time. I see the expression: who is this umlungu that has suppressed me, why is he talking to me.
