When I look at the plates shown, I realised that when I braai, there is only meat (steak, lambs or pork ribs), veggies such as chicken, and wors on my plate, no salads

same :) What's even worse is that some has more "non-meat" than meat..... sacrilege :D Obviously braaibroodjie counts as part of the acceptable meat allotment :)
 
I wasn't planning on braaing on Saturday (too much rugby to watch). But my boys convinced me to do some steak. Mainly because it's quick. So i was done before the Springboks kick-off but alas I just don't have it in me to let good coals go to waste!

So had some lamb riblets and pinwheels to put on there for myself.

Last time I saw them somewhere, these were rather pricey. Must be due to protein content then.
Yes you're totally right. As far as green veggies go they are unusually expensive, in the region of R75 to R125/kg
I just checked WW broccolini is like R125 to R200/kg.
So waterblommetjies are neither cheap nor ridiculously expensive. Worth the experience of making a tasty pot from time to time. :-)
