The problem is you can't differentiate between immigrants who genuinely believed in making a better life in the US compared to immigrants like Mamdani who are trying to transform the US into some socialist republic. Mamdani's political ideology is largely formed from anti-colonial scholars who hate the West.

Vietnam, Panama, Cambodia, Cuba, Iraq, Iran, Somali, Afganistan, Pakistan, Yemen, etc

Hardcore commie, is north Korea. What Magdani is describing is a lot more like Japan, which is the economic structure the US established in the 1950s.
