As of now, I'd still go with the Neo because its performance, user experience, and display are just so good for the price. The Neo is also cheaper than the Swift Air 14, which is hard to believe since it competes with it -- and even beats it -- in multiple categories. As of now, Windows PC manufacturers have yet to fully address the $499 student pricing on the Neo.

Most of the entry-level Windows laptops have hinges that crack within a year, and the entry-level Intel chips that choke on anything past a YouTube tab. The odd cheap ones are decent, but at the bottom end, you're paying to be annoyed in a few months. - I doubt Apple has anything to be worried about

What will be interesting to see is if Microsoft finally realizes that the major problem isn’t PC hardware, but Windows. Until its problems are addressed, the Neo will be an issue for Microsoft at any price.

I was on the fence for a while about the Neo, I see the price also went up but not really reflecting here in SA.

I was looking at the Citrus color but it's mostly sold out.

I suppose new stock will come at the new price, is this a safe assumption?
Can't decide if I should wait for stock or get another color.
I also want to buy from istore and use the istore finance option.

I’m assuming you want the 512GB ver since the 256GB is in stock. Use the notify when stock is available - sometimes they hold back stock - a couple times now I’ve had stock magically appear a couple days after. Worth a try. As for the exchange, usually an uphill battle in SA.

Failed to get it yesterday, and price went up.
I got it from Waltons and they called me to say it'll take 2 weeks and not 2 days as advised.
But I got the 512GB, Citrus at the old price, so i am happy.

I hope it preforms ok, this will not replace my desktop but rather my Samsung tablet.

This is going to set me back a bit this month as I was hoping to get it with "istore finance" but otherwise I am happy.
