Woolworths faces investigation

The Information Regulator has received two related complaints about Woolworths preventing customers from unsubscribing from spam emails after joining its MyDifference loyalty programme.

A spokesperson for the watchdog told MyBroadband that it had received complaints about the issue in response to a request for comment.

Can we upskill & give pothole fixing contract to Information Regulator people ? At least in Jhb ? It doesn't look like they have much to do.
 
I would just make the acceptance/enable/disable of marketing email linked to you getting discounts.

Why can you say no to something and then still want discount/benefits of the program ?

Checkers and others does. Luckily I use Apple's hide my email and could just disable the Woolies address.

You mean they don't give discount if you have card but don't accept their promotional emails ?
