For anyone interested, I think this is quite worthwhile.

For R49 a month, cancel anytime, you download the vodapay app and join the Vodapay Club.

You buy vouchers for a whole bunch of retailers, most notably BP for fuel,Checkers,Spur,John Dorys etc.

You get an additional 10% or more on each voucher. EG, buy a Checkers R600 voucher and you get R660.

If you spent R3000 pm at Checkers that's an extra R300 in your pocket.

If you spent R4000 on fuel at BP, that's an extra R400 in your pocket.

That's already an extra R650 in your pocket, it's all quite hassle free as well.

I have not tried this. Is it true 10% or that up to 10% where there is additional requirements?

Have you tried it and bought vouchers?

So instead of paying with your CC, you pay e.g. at Spur/Checkers by giving the waiter or cashier the voucher code?

It is actual 10 percent at Checkers. Other stores have different discount percentages, it's all on the app. There's no hoops to get to the percentage.

Yes I have bought vouchers and used them, hassle free. You just show the waiter or cashier you wi code. I did tell the waitress beforehand though, just to avoid any hassles later on.

Seems like things have changed since my original post. The discounts and available coupons per month have changed as well.

Does one earn Vodabucks when making a bill payment via the app? I am not sure but I dont think I am earning the points.

I used the BP vouchers for a couple years when a subscription wasn't required (the discounts went down from 10% to 5% at some point as well).

I bought the vouchers on the app then simply showed it to the employee to input the code on the card machine. They ranged from R220 to R880 I think. You'd pay R200 for a R220 voucher, for example.

Certain BP garages, especially in smaller towns, weren't aware of the vouchers though.

Anybody having issues with getting vouchers? I try purchase 3x fuel vouchers and for the past 2 months, my payment fails and I'm locked out for another month. It seems when the payment fails, the reservation is not undone and hence locked out for the required period. Trying to debug this is obviously painful with a 30 day lockout (worse than certain SIP providers for 1-3 days).

I have the vodapay club subscription.
The vouchers save you money.

So far I have used
BP vouchers every month
Kauai occasionally
Spur occasionally

With BP fuel vouchers, you have to 1st fill fuel. Then pay on card machine using the voucher. Sometimes petrol attendant says that the network is not working.
I ask them to retry until it goes thru.
If you have a problem, log a ticket to BP website. They will help to resolve the issue.

vodacom gave me a spur voucher and the reason I went there....that voucher didnt work. Vodacom blamed spur for the voucher not working. In the store I was trying to also buy a spur voucher from app but it kept failing. Not a fan

Anyone been able to activate the UCook voucher in Vodapay red rewards? Every time I click the tile it just go into a loading state

I have no interest in vouchers, but recently loaded the VodaPay app. It looks like a lot of smoke and mirrors, designed to get you to buy, buy, buy. I wouldn't rely on any of the 'promises' for real-life decisions...

What do you tell the petrol attendant? Payment with voucher code or wi-code? I find that they are not properly trained with the POS or are aware of voucher payment methods.

Vodapay is not working when trying to make certain payments. I struggle to make EFTs. You then have to adjust the amounts, eventhough it is well below the threshold of the account you have.
