Ugh, sounds like I would need a shower after watching it. 89 minutes, might have to watch it at 2x speed.
 
Yeah. It's one of those flicks that if it wasn't getting attention for 'messaging', you would forget about it soon as you done watched it.

Yes, it's largely true. The FSK (Germany's film ratings board) initially denied Citizen Vigilante any age rating after two reviews, effectively blocking theatrical screenings, advertising, and mainstream distribution due to its violent vigilante themes and depictions of migrant crime.

On July 6, 2026, after a third review, the FSK granted an 18+ rating for the theatrical cut, allowing cinemas to screen it for adults.

It was never a formal government ban (adults could still import or access specialty versions), and the "power of X" claim is opinion—but Musk's June promotion and free streaming did generate massive visibility via the Streisand effect. Home entertainment rating is still pending.
