See that's a 10% variance, which seems to be roughly right.Website reckons peak of 595 W/m2 - I measured 530 W/m2. So close but definitely lower.
kWp of array now?First full day today running on the new kit, already at 6kW out of the PV panels, old system would be half of that at most at this time of day at this time of year.
kWp of array now?
What house? You on the move already?I am not at the house anymore and just the 2 now. And yeah, they use even less power. No semblance of boobs, I tried myself and failed.

Hot enough to not need to run the geyser at all. It’s luke warm from the cold tap. What's Dubai like? Iran try blow anything up lately?
You have a cold tapHot enough to not need to run the geyser at all. It’s luke warm from the cold tap.
As for the place, nothing to note really on the ground. Nothing from Iran but I haven’t been following the news to be honest.
Not sure, but won’t be for less than 5 years that’s for sure. You have a cold tap. Ah how long you stuck in the desert
Shoo good luckNot sure, but won’t be for less than 5 years that’s for sure.
Supports my assertion exactly: That winter radiation is less than 50% of summer. And the exact same phenomenon can be confirmed with any public weather site, using thousands of weather stations, but apparently Lupis isView attachment 1920267
This is my Ambient Weather 2902C (Green) vs my total solar (Yellow) - you can see they track reasonably well. This is for Richards Bay yesterday.

This is the same graph on the 9th of December 2025 (Solar in Red now...). Max Lux is more than double but the equivalent max Solar is only 33% higher. The panel on the weather station is parallel to the ground, so potentially that also contributes to the lower than expected lux in winter. It's also probably just not the most accurate sensor. Add to that the temperature effects and it probably explains the discrepancy.
I get where he is coming from though. As much the actual radiation is less than Summer, summer is riddled with rain.Supports my assertion exactly: That winter radiation is less than 50% of summer. Plus JaseZA is in Richards Bay not JHB, they've had rather cloudy weather.I get where he is coming from though. As much the actual radiation is less than Summer, summer is riddled with rain.
So on average they wind up being similar. Winter is more consistent. But on a sunny to sunny day then summer is better sure.
Does this tool line up with your production numbers?Supports my assertion exactly: That winter radiation is less than 50% of summer.
