I looked at my account today and there was a refund from Bookings.com Amsterdam. And then couple of hours later it disappeared. I first thought it is a fraudulent transaction. But then realised it's a refund. Started googling to see where it comes from as we have been traveling the last two weeks but none of the places were related to bookings.com. Now it's gone.

Anyways, leaving this here in case someone else had a similar experience.

I also had a booking.com transaction once. For a hotel in Miami. Never fscking been there. Called FNB fraud and they sorted it out.

Fraud, sort it out, I had one 15 years ago, lucky bugger went to Zanzibar on my account

bookings.com?

with an S ?

Unblocked my card to check if there are more issues as the first one got reversed, probably checking account is active or making as if they are legit. Bliksems immediately did another large fraudulent amount, this time labelled Airbnb. Absa Fraud Department now and here goes having to get a new credit card again and having to update a bunch of accounts. annoying!

Someone is having a nice luxury trip on my credit card details! How is this even possible

Have ABSA not got virtual cards?

Easy as pie to cancel it and set up another one before you finish your cup of coffee.

Best use Virtual Cards, with standard bank you can load the exact amount you need to use and then delete the card afterwards.
