President Cyril Ramaphosa's message about green ID books in South Africa

President Cyril Ramaphosa has reiterated the South African government's plan to eliminate the green ID book as an official means of identification.

During a recent meeting of the National Council of Provinces, Ramaphosa highlighted the developments as part of the government's efforts to crack down on illegal immigration.

distract, deny, and discredit, typical commie talk,
what is wrong with the Green ID books now? and how do we know it wont just happen with the digital ID.

or as usual more worthless plans and big talk before elections,
then back to hiding money in couches and charging millions for a broom

f-ing FINALLY this regurgitated press release includes the one fact that outright makes it impossible to eliminate green ID books at this point in time:
The minister previously also said that full smart ID card support for permanent residents and naturalised citizens would be a priority.

i.e. there is no such support right now, and the only ID available to them is the green book

While he's about it, why not:
  1. Build a bullet train running from Mussina to Durbs via that filthy city;
  2. Build a university in the bushes;
  3. Give everyone 50Gb of "free" data a month;
  4. Give everyone 500kWh of "free" electricity a month;
  5. Give everyone 50kl of "free" water a month;
  6. Make SAPO work like it did 40 years ago;
  7. Make the SABC self-sufficient like it was before the ANC ruined it;
  8. Fill up potholes;
  9. Restore hospitals to at least Third-world quality;
  10. Make SAA an airline to be proud of?

Reality is the EU gave them billions with very strong strings attached requiring compliance with the agenda's (2030.2040, 2050) The new system will take information currently kept on multiple systems owned by multiple organizations, government and private, that government doesn't have automatic access to, and centralize it on one government run system. To do that they have to get rid of the old book ID, and let's be honest, no government has ever been honest or done anything in the interest of its countrymen.

Yep, there's obviously very heavy pressure to deliver in SA given the endless avalanche of articles about it. Despite it not being a practical high priority, and even the "interim" ID cards have now finally got a foothold.

The puppet masters will need to learn more lessons about Africa.

You can make a system as secure as is technically possible, but as soon as there is a human African involved, corruption is possible.

8. Fill pockets
9. Fill pockets
10. Fill pockets
Repeat until you reach "939 million, 3000 and 60, 60 thousand".

100%, and let's not pretend that in this case it's the keeper of the system that is known to be corrupt.
