South Africans could soon have their driving licences taken away and forced to redo the test

The stupidity in this place is off the walls lol.

We all know the Taxis are all driving around with expired licenses, they not gonna care. The government cadres and their kids will miraculously have 0 points once they hit 15 and a certain amount of money is paid...

Only the practical portion (driving test) and not the theory test (learners)?
I strongly suspect a lot of the issue is not understanding the theory (rules of the road and system of vehicle control) and implementing it.

Either way, an "admin" fee can be paid at (many) test centres to get a pass -- only have to be present and pretend to do the test and someone else will fix the result.

We don't have expired licenses in SA, the little plastic card expires, not your actual license. So what if they are driving around with an expired card, they still have a license.
The card is just another money making scheme

So what are they going to suspend? Whatever it is, the ones who don’t care now won’t care then lol.

Without the card / if card use is suspended you are illegal so agree it makes no difference - this is more about if anyone is really going to be so prosecuted...? 🤡
Maybe a couple of example cases, then the taxi industry will drown out the noise again.

If you are even half right here, proof of this is what the media needs to be gathering and publishing. They won't of course.

Yeah someone I know had their family member pass their test on 3rd attempt. They kept failing for stupid things so told someone and they said no - you’re being failed because you aren’t paying. They took R500 the 3rd time and left it in the dash. The instructor said do the yard and as they went to go outside he said ok you’ve passed I remember you from last time. And they turned around and went back in lol
