New eviction laws still fail homeowners in South Africa

Proposed amendments to South Africa's illegal eviction law fail to adequately protect property rights and could unfairly shift the burden of unlawful land occupations from the government onto private landowners.

Do not invest in property in South Africa. This is not an investment any longer. Do this at your own risk. No change in any laws can change this anymore, even if they revert back to original laws. Stay far away from investing in local properties and related markets.

It's amazing how many clever things this govt. is able to achieve (with help) when it puts its mind to it, yet "fails" dismally with basic essentials.
