Quick question, are you allowed to watch RT in the EU. But that's fine because it's....Russian propaganda. I wonder if China banned YouTube just for fun or...

Also remember when US congress forced the sale of TikTok's US operation to a Jewish billionaire because they said "anti-semitism" was becoming a problem AKA showing what was happening in Gaza, and then...it all disappeared.

Uhm maybe you forgot your own argument. So China is good because it is doing exactly the same in terms of media censorship as the UK who is bad?

Western media censorship = bad
Chinese doing the same = good

How does that work?

If @Vorastra had any kind of point it would just be that lefties are hypocrites, but every one already accepts that. I doubt he will be arguing things settled in 2016

Personal viewing by an individual (e.g., using a VPN to watch videos) is not criminalised. There is no law saying "watching YouTube content is forbidden," and in practice, enforcement against ordinary users (especially foreigners) is virtually non-existent for simple consumption.

It's treated similarly to the RT situation in the EU: the distribution/access facilitation is controlled, but private consumption isn't prosecuted. Millions of people in China do it daily with low risk. If you're just watching for personal use, you're not breaking a law against "consumption." The main practical issue is the technical block + gray-area VPN rules.

If YouTube became a Chinese disinfo hotbed, you think the US would just let it continue operating like that lol

I just gave you an example of the US government doing that with TikTok because of their special ally.
