South Africa on the brink of widespread municipal collapse

For white South African that was used to a first world country under apartheid the decay is shocking but how does black South African experience service delivery, is same-old-same-old or are they also feeling we going backward or since the initial process that was made post apartheid?

Anecdotal but one girl I know who stays in Soweto is plagued by the worst service delivery stuff-ups. I'm talking days on end with either no water or no power or both - so not actually that unusual. She knows the deal and where the true blame lies but she's young and so has nothing with which to compare. I imagine for many it is just normal.
 
Brought down apartheid only to raise up criminals. Well done SA. Maybe in 100 years your stupid, childish race voting can be abandoned in favour of electing leaders with a moral backbone. We went from one evil to the next, with voters propping up the system at every step of the way.

Also one of the ladies I work with, has had no power for over a year and half now. where she lives in Soweto, and they also have constant water outages.

She is gatvol but is she gatvol enough, to not want to vote for the guys in power again - not sure
