SA Politics Thread Part 13 The Days of Madlanga

Otoh the new king seems to have a penchant for the well ridden

The Reed dance events don't have ethnic restrictions as far as I'm aware.

Frankly, I don't care whether Bokkieweek is exclusively for certain ethnicities but to come out and sell it as a cultural event when core mission is rooted purely on politics of the 90s and before is laughable.

What is laughable is the pretend king getting away with gbv

You know my opinion of useless leeches who prefer to refer to themselves as politicians, but I'm genuinely curious whether you see this Resolve situation as a unique evil compared to all the other shenanigans we see in government on a daily basis?
Unique evil? No, I don't see it as such.

OK so we're at least on the same page then. Political greed for self-enrichment...just a different drain of useless leeches.
I understand that it could be confusing when there are posts about DA shenenigans since we are so used to such posts being about the ANC, but I have made it my chore to post about the DA, not because there is anything unique they do, but because if I don't, no one here would post about it, as you can see how people get touched in the feels every time I post about the DA.

Good that you understand that political commentary and criticism should be directed at all parties and the DA is no holy cow.

I'm not on pedo Twitter so don't expect anything from me

100%
If the DA want to campaign on "clean governance" then they need to understand properly what this means.
When a private firm like Resolve can charge corporate clients to secure direct, fast-tracked audiences with ministers then they are commoditizing democratic access.
As an ordinary citizen with a small business I can't get a meeting with a minister (not even one of their lackeys even) but a multi-billionaire's company can buy that meeting through Tony Leon...the playing field is inherently corrupted in this scenario .
DA has fiercely condemned cadre deployment and the blurring of the party vs the state line - and then along comes Resolve. Sies man!

Much ado about nothing. So she asked some parliamentary questions (valid ones from what I can see) and the big scandal is she asking it on behalf of Resolve's clients? However, DM have no proof of this that clearly links the two together.
It's honestly not what it looks like, ngenene nangenyaniso.

Kgobisa-Ngcaba has tabled nine parliamentary questions on the subject across two ministerial portfolios, has written at least one opinion piece pushing for reform in this area and has given interviews proposing specific remedies.

Those remedies include the introduction of mandatory tamper-proof SIM card packaging: precisely what two Resolve clients in the SIM card packaging business were campaigning for at the same time.
