Cool Ideas Fibre ISP – Feedback Thread 6

I am suspecting a possible issue with CINX peering, and I wonder if the AWS issues are possibly related, as I know AWS peers at CINX too, check these 2 screenshots, both have the 4-5ms latency increase from CISP's core in CPT to the destination.

I could be wrong, but might be worth checking out :)

Possibly, but if I recall correctly, CINX tends to rate limit ICMP a lot, so not entirely sure those losses are from CINX or not.

Our CINX port is at 30% capacity, so maybe AWS saturating there. We can try depeer them at CINX and only use NAP. But I doubt it would make much of a difference if only one region is affected.

I'm having issues directly at Cape Town (13.246.0.0) I see other people are complaining about europe

For what it's worth.

In CPT Northern Suburbs on Vuma Trenched.
My smokeping to
Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) is perfectly stable.

Quad 9 seems flappy tho and i know it's going through cinx to get there

Hi @nelis , is this regarding AWS? Unfortunately not as this seems to be on AWS's side.
If I find any more updates, I will update here.

As an example, with Cloudflare WARP it also shows loss at the moment

Any issues this morning? It seems my upload speed as dropped from 400Mbps to between 80 and 150. Pretoria on Frogfoot

Hi there. Not that I'm aware of at the moment. Would you mind logging a ticket if it doesn't clear up?

CoolEscalator dog just chewed through the yellow fiber cable coming out of our OpenServe provided ONT. What’s the quickest way to get this resolved? Can I buy a new one somewhere in CPT and connect it myself? We work from home so being offline is critical
