South African allies allegedly in secret plot to attack and destroy Starlink

The Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, two of South Africa's most powerful partners in the BRICS economic alliance, are allegedly secretly planning to destroy Elon Musk's Starlink.

A host of internal documents from summits between the two countries held in 2023 allegedly show plans to disable Starlink's network, as the satellite Internet provider is seen as a national security threat.

Talk about jealous...... They just jealous they didn't launch or think of such a system.... But it would cause a big thing if they try or when they try......

A Chinese\Russian Starlink would be just as much of a threat to the west as Starlink is to Russia\China. And yes they have projects on the go, its all happening.

Puts a lot of what has been happening with Starlink locally in context. There is already a turf war.

That's right. I fully support military intervention from Russia and China.

Please lose the laughably outdated 20th century thinking. Neither Russia nor China are communist or socialist. Please visit either of them and you would be amazed. I'm not saying they are perfect countries but they certainly are not socialist.

But, yes, I agree with you on Cuba and that socialism is a failed ideology. I will have you know that my ideology is very right wing.

Haven’t been there since the special operation started, but enjoyed it very much. Food was much better there.
Never been to China though. Or Cuba.

Its has nothing to do with Internet access and everything to do with its scanning, tracking and signals intelligence collection abilities.

wonder why Star-link wants to put "datacentres" in space, when everyone says the thermodynamic don't work. its so they can do more signals processing in real-time close to the satellites at higher bandwidth. Because that is the current bottleneck.

The CCP's governance remains rooted in traditional Marxist-Leninist principles and state supremacy. Russia's state is highly centralized and capitalist, dominated by a fusion of state power and wealthy oligarchs. Basically the state that communism built.

Youngins have been hypnotised, but they'll find out. Round and round we go

The other myth is that Europe is now Socialist, also highly twisted.
