South Africa's top cops don't have what it takes to stop another Ballito bombing attempt

The attempted bombing of a popular mall in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, earlier this year was a wake-up call for South African authorities to strengthen the capabilities of their social media and online monitoring.

South African authorities only moved to arrest the failed bomber months after the incident took place, and only after they had received a warning from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Crime Intelligence amongst other law enforcement agencies certainly have the capabilities to identify large sums of money that can go into their pockets! If it ain't money, we ain't interested!

You expect the same SAPS, who are unable to solve the crime of who broke into their own stations and stole firearms, and who stole their ammunition, to actually do anything. About the only thing they do is give you a case number, say do you have the insurance, and file it in the round filing cabinet the next day.
