What is the actual issue here? , imo "we've identified an issue" isn't a good enough reason

Last night I had a constant 20- 30% packetloss from about 6 -11pm, which makes your line utterly useless.

Even now at this very moment I'm sitting with 2-3% loss, elevated first hop pings and a ton of jitter.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The issue is with the NNI (the point where Openserve hands traffic to us)
One of the ports are down, and we have engaged with Openserve to rectify the issue accordingly.
This results in insufficient capacity , primarily during peak time, resulting in the degraded performance experienced.

Is this AWS still problematic?

At home on my CISP connection working with my work website and portals is dead slow but when i go via my work Vanilla account its normal.

I'm not entirely sure on the scope of impact, however I have verified that the loss seems to persist even over an alternative network such as cloudflare. We know as much as you know at this stage, but were hoping to gather more info accordingly.

Since we mainly see the loss out of JHB to the Ip's were monitoring, we did try and de-peer in JHB, however the loss remained when going via CPT. Thus changes were reverted.

Unfortunately I don't have a resource to share at this time.
Just got home, No loss at the moment, will update if anything changes

From Cape Town, AWS looks great on my monitoring, but looks quite bad from JHB to the same destinations
Were not entirely sure of how widespread it is, but we have ruled out our network thus far.
Were also still pending feedback from the mail we sent this morning to AWS.

Strange, as I still see a lot of loss on my JHB monitoring to AWS, it could be selective depending on where you trace to, not sure.

Ah okay thanks yea everything my company has deployed is AWS hosted and its dead slow while everything else is fine. I did a trace to AWS myself and it looks clean but somewhere something is not happy. I'll just use my work VPN for now and in office tomorrow so hopefully by Thursday all is back to normal

Correction.
I also don't see any loss anymore, didn't refresh

Well at least I'm glad that has been sorted now

Unfortunately, but were hoping to get this sorted sooner rather than later. Our team is actively pushing Openserve for a resolution.

AWS seems fine for me now, it's just cn-northwest-1 and cn-north-1 where i have 13-20% packetloss

Openserve please, you were supposed to be the chosen one.

Thank you CISP for being on their case!
