Yea no clue why anyone would care about the OTC ones. I'm with you there.100% if its the Codeine variant, no questions ifs ands or buts on that one.
But I've seen previous incidents where they crow about the amount of Benylin, and in the pictures its very clearly the normal OTC variant.
Why though?Even if it's over the counter type you should still be able to have a reasonable explanation and maybe a receipt to show the cops you were just doing stock for your pharmacy in Zimbabwe, otherwise the cops will have a very reasonable suspicion to think you are up to no good.
I think there is some kind of "reasonable therapeutic use" threshold for any registered medicine and those OTC Benylin bottles are that. I don't think a Clicks or Dischem will even sell you more than 3 or 4 bottles at a time. Why though?
I get why it would be an issue for the codeine ones. We all know why... but for the OTC ones... why is it any of a cop's business why you're lawfully carrying 48 OTC Benylin 100ml bottles in your bag?
Is there a law against having 48 of the OTC Benylin bottles in your bag?
Why do I need to explain myself to cops if I'm not breaking the law? What are they going to charge me with?
I would give a cop a blank stare as well if I had 48 bottles of otc benylin and the cops wanted a receipt. The question would have been clear from the police, uwuthathaphi lomuthi? Where is the receipt?
When they are met with blank stares, there is only one thing to do.
Eish! I asked who said that. Not who will say it in two days. Here you go Solomon
Otherwise they fine you R2 500.Why do I need to explain myself to cops if I'm not breaking the law?
Doesn't matter, if you don't pay, or get the math wrong and pay R250, they're going to arrest you. What are they going to charge me with?
It is probably just a problem, tagged on because whatever "illigal substances" they have in the plastic bags. Why though?

Not like I would be bothered enough to go and dig posts for you.Eish! I asked who said that. Not who will say it in two days.
Now I know your sidekick always blames Moz and Zim people for break-ins and violent crimes, so I thought it might be him.
Contrary to popular belief, cops can arrest you on reasonable suspicion that you might have committed an offence, that is generally how many of those arrests for alleged stolen goods happen, at the time of the arrest, all they have is reasonable suspicion, and where does the reasonable suspicion arise from? From the failure of a suspect to adequately explain himself. Why though?

48 laptops or cellphones is a significantly different value set of items though.Contrary to popular belief, cops can arrest you on reasonable suspicion that you might have committed an offence, that is generally how many of those arrests for alleged stolen goods happen, at the time of the arrest, all they have is reasonable suspicion, and where does the reasonable suspicion arise from? Why is it the cops business that you have 48 bottles of a cough mixture you ask, the same reason it is a cop's business when you are found with 48 laptops or 48 cellphones with you, Is there a law that says you can't be in possession of 48 laptops or cellphones?
It is a nice question but that will come later, the first question would be, what is your business going around with 48 laptops or cellphones, and believe it or not, an officer of the law is fully entitled to ask you that, you are are also free to tell him that's not his business, but you will probably be calling your lawyer soon after that.
Ah, so sidekick who you'd remember, gets a free pass. Not like I would be bothered enough to go and dig posts for you.
Besides being silly, would you agree that it's questionable?48 laptops or cellphones is a significantly different value set of items though.
While I think it's silly to have that much cough mixture on you it's not exactly beyond the means of the average person to own that much of it. To automatically suspect a crime has occurred because he's got some cough mixture sounds wild. Good luck with it in court.
Now that is why government should not be preaching down on the people, they are able to enforce the law when they want to, they just choose not to.
The jaw? Lol?Now that is why government should not be preaching down on the people, they are able to enforce the jaw when they want to, they just choose not to.
Why is it questionable beyond the fact that you want it to be?Besides being silly, would you agree that it's questionable?
It is 48 bottles of cough mixture, a person generally needs only one bottle. Why is it questionable beyond the fact that you want it to be?
