Who coded this paycity.co.za abominition?

They are notorious for taking the money from you to pay a fine and not actually paying the fine, hundreds of complaints on hellopeter about them not paying fines that customers paid them for. I would check with the issuing authority that they actually did pay the fine and didn't just pocket the money.

My aunt has just gone through all this drama with them where she paid a fine on the platform about six months ago, tried to renew her license disk this past week and there is a summons out for the traffic fine she had already paid them for.

Hands up, which forumite is responsible for this nonsense?

I've just received an SMS about a valid fine notice that was paid more than 6 months ago using their system. The SMS includes my name, part of my ID, the valid fine notice number and a round number of R400 owing (the fine was R411 or so). The original link is to a paycity.co.za address with a short code. It is then redirected to https://ury.io/***** (a url shortner) which then redirects to https://i.paycity.co.za/ES/S/R/17/*...6&utm_guid=********************************** which confirms there is nothing owing.

Has anyone managed to have their details removed from paycity? Am going to try and will share here if I get it right.
1. If the fine is valid, it will appear in your banking app under Traffic Fines.
2. Pay the fine from the banking app.

Paying fines is an apartheid agenda, as such I don’t do such things.
Same here. I happily ignore all fines. Maybe about 1 in 10 will proceed to the summons stage, and then I pay. The rest just go away.

Yeah I had one from 2006 , written ones I just throw away.

Bunch of scammers. In January my wife paid a fine on her banking app and earlier in the week she got an email from these cnuts about this same fine which according to them is outstanding. So where would the money go if you paid these criminals?

I got the same, checked on AARTO and it claims it's paid on there, so yeah Paycity can fly, especially since the fine was in Sep

seems they "recycled" a bunch of fines from 2025 in their emails - I will only use my bank for fines

When I lived in JHB I always paid my speeding fines via paycity, never once had an issue.
Since I am in CPT now I have to use their system for fine payment now.
